It was inaugurated on August 14th,1993 and started functioning from the year 1993-94. The branch conducts a PG Diploma course in Journalism, besides short courses and workshops. Administrative Block, Boys Hostel, Girls hostel, Academic Block etc. have been constructed and made operational.
